If you’re to believe the internet, you’d think that foxes aren’t dangerous.
In fact, according to the Humane Society of the United States, “Foxes are not dangerous and do not attack humans, except when they are rabid, which is very rare, or when they are captured and handled. Even then, a fox’s natural tendency is to flee rather than fight.”
One man was recently trying to explain this idea to a group of strangers — only to be immediately disproven.

According to videographer Daniel Owen, he was waiting for a bus when he was approached by a fox, whom locals call “Roxy.” A stranger was quick to tell him that he shouldn’t be worried and that foxes never attack. Then, the stranger was attacked by the fox.
Thankfully, the victim had a good attitude about it, asking “How stupid is that?” after it happened. Pretty stupid, man!
“The worst thing is, I was giving it vibes! I was, like, bigging it up and everything!” he adds later in the video as blood begins to spill out of his leg.
Owen says the man later walked away and the fox scampered off, so it looks like all parties involved were fine. But for good measure, just stay away from foxes — as we now know, they can be massive assholes.
